A peaceful English meadow in late spring, dotted with yellow buttercups and bordered by hedgerows and wooden fencing. Two flowering chestnut trees with pink blossoms stand prominently in the foreground, while a copper beech adds a splash of dark red foliage behind. Rolling green fields and a line of dense conifers frame the scene under a dramatic sky filled with billowing cumulus clouds. Reviews & Recommendations, why people love us

Why use Roaming the Paths – don’t take my word for it, here’s the Reviews & Recommendations, why people love us.

We look after you.

Our job is to ensure that you have an enjoyable time, and that it is value for money. So with out further ado – this is what people think about Roaming the Paths and the events we run.

At the moment, this is somewhat biased towards the food events, especially those run with Ploughman’s Lunch Reviewed. This is because initially I didn’t pay attention on getting written feedback, the happy faces being reward enough. But you don’t see the happy faces, so I started to collect the words.

From Google

Had a guided tour around Pewsey vale and learned a lot about the history, fauna and flora of the area. Alan is a friendly and very knowledgeable guide. It was a great experience in a lovely part of the country and we even got to see deer close up. Would highly recommend.

Sean Taylor

We had an incredible day in a truly beautiful part of the world. Alan could not have been more welcoming or more knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

Russel Goodman

Had a lovely day out walking a really nice route, and Alan was very knowledgeable about the area. Highly recommended!

Becky Griffiths

Alan and the team were warm and and put on the most amazing spread – I’ve never been to an unlimited Ploughman’s lunch before but now I’m hooked. Fantastic value and a fabulous range of options, cheeses and more.

Reviews from event feedback requests

The selection of local cheeses was great; lovely to showcase local producers and we discovered several that we will now look out for. The bread was lovely – we went across to the bakery to buy some items when we left, so the local championing worked! The food was well laid out and we appreciated the guidance notes that provided more information on the products and producers.

Loveday Lamb

The range of food. I loved the fact you had undressed salad, potatoes, boiled eggs, apples and grapes and lots of pickles. The selection of bread and cheese was great. Great value.

Sandra Barrow

Gloriously informal with a wonderful range of local produce!

Amy Patten – Thoughtful Detectorist

The freshness of the produce was outstanding. The ham melted in the mouth and being able to take her you wanted and as much as you wanted was great as well as being good value.

Russ Buck

There was a wide range of thoughtfully sourced, local produce – which was absolutely delicious and there was an abundance of food available. The atmosphere was friendly and cosy too.

Emma Coxon – Little Piece of Wonder

“Oh it was SO good! Such an amazing selection of cheeses, ham, three types of pork pies and an insane range of pickles, chutneys, piccalillis, pickled onions and salads, potatoes, breads, butters etc.

My friends and I had an amazing time, and such lovely warm welcomes and pride shown in the display.”
